2025 LATBSDC Outstanding Student Recognition Awards

Los Angeles Tall Buildings Structural Design Council (LATBSDC) is excited to announce call for applications for the 2025 Outstanding Student Recognition Awards. These awards recognize outstanding students with a career objective in structural design of major projects and the desire to be a leader in the field of structural engineering.

Applicants should be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate civil engineering program with structural engineering emphasis (with graduation anticipated in the following 12 months) or enrolled in a Master of Science program with an emphasis in structural engineering.

The awardees will be recognized at the 2025 LATBSDC Conference and receive a financial stipend of $2,500. In addition, the awardees will be given an opportunity to apply for an internship at an LATBSDC member office during the summer 2026.

Applicants shall submit the following:

1) a letter describing applicant’s qualifications, structural engineering matters of interest to them, and their future plans;

2) letter of recommendation from a faculty member at their university;

3) one-page resume; and

4) copy of applicant’s academic transcript.
