Dr. Martin B. Hudson

Principal Geotechnical Engineer, Hudson Geotechnics

Martin (Marty) Hudson is Principal Geotechnical Engineer at Hudson Geotechnics, Inc. and has over 30 years of industry experience in geotechnical engineering covering a variety of building types, sizes and market sectors. Dr. Hudson has worked as geotechnical engineer of record on the Wilshire Grand tower, the Grand high-rise development, Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, and the New Century twin tower development. He has extensive experience with ground motion studies on many high-rise buildings, reservoirs, subway stations and tunnels, and hospital buildings, including base-isolated and damped structures. He is a member of the Hospital Building Safety Board for the State of California, and is an Honorary Member of the Structural Engineers Association of Southern California (SEAOSC). In addition to his consulting experience, he is an Adjunct Professor in geotechnical engineering at the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science.
